I've got a ticket booked for LIM-MEX, departing at 08:55

I need to come from Santiago - I can either go the previous day, or take the 05:20 out of Santiago, arriving at 7:05 in LIM.

Will LAN check my bags all the way through from SCL to MEX? And is there a transfer desk in Lima where I can check in for the MEX flight?

Or should I not take the risk, and go the day before (but the flight is USD 500 more expensive).
