Therefore, when trying to book CDG-YUL-YQB on AF website: CDG-YUL is an AF flight then YUL-YQB is an Air Canada flight

when clicking on the button next to the total price to know how many miles will be earned, the message says no miles

am i supposed to earn at least on my CDG-YUL and none on YUL-YQB when booked together ?
The miles indication is very far from reliable. If your CDG-YUL is on AF and YUL-YQB is AC coded, you will earn miles on the transatlantic segment (complete with the usual FB 'generosity by nature') but not on the YUL-YQB.
