Friday, when I start my journey LHR to MEL, looks busy too. There is no seat availability in any class on the flight options (via multi-city) shown for the LHR to DXB leg.

There is availability showing on the 404 via SIN and 406 non-stop DXB to MEL legs..however, unfortunately those are attached to codeshares ( 5*** Qantas flights) from LHR which are showing no seat availability from London.

So you can fly from Dubai but you cannot get there!!! I am not clear how that will work!!!
