Ive ran into this , T-15 isnt from the new departure time but from the scheduled 1 I believe. This is why they tell everyone to stick around the gate and not get lost, but at least with those who somehow checked in @ the airport they know they were in fact present and flying. This is 1 reason that even thou I do OLCI I also recheck in when I get to the airport, especially if Im not checking any bags, that way they know Im in house and not a no-show
I don't buy this at all. I've never once, in any of my UA delayed flights (which are numerous this year), have ever heard any gate agent page people up to the podium who had done OLCI just to check if they were there. There are a ton of reasons why the person wouldn't be there, the #1 being that they are in the United Club waiting for boarding.

No, I think the gate agent at OKC played games here. It's not like the flight would have boarded on time, got delayed and then they tried to re-board the aircraft. The plane wasn't there. And considering more than 50% of people use OLCI these days, that's more than half the plane the GA would have had to call up to the podium to check if they were there.
