There is no need to signup to AA, you just need to use their website as per my previous two replies to this question..
There is no need to call AA to find availability, you can search on AA.com for MileSAAver seats which can be booked with avios, and was a response to another thread you've posted in.
BA's award search doesn't work well with partner flights involving connections. Search for each leg individually or use AA.com and look for MileSAAver (not AAnytime) awards.

That route was a suggestion as a valid routing for a 241 ex-Canada.
