Update...
- took me a while to find this thread as the hotel seems to be now named "Sheraton Dallas by the Galleria".
- stayed here two nights and used remaining Suite Night Awards to get a suite (*25 room). Room was fine. Two flat screens, fridge, ample room, decent bed.
- check-in was fine, lobby is open with bar and TVs, a little bit of buzz, bar was relatively busy.
- club lounge was below average and small but I think they may have had free alcohol. I was too tired to partake. But food options were basically a small plate of crackers and cheese and a hot item. Breakfast was one small plate of fruit and some bread.
- they did give me breakfast coupons for downstairs and that was a good buffet with bacon, eggs, fruit, yogurt, French toast, etc. felt a little like breakfast at the Residence Inn but more upscale. No complaints, it was good.
- I did not understand the parking but I did not pay anything so I did not complain. You're supposed to swipe your key to open the gate but it never worked. So, I took a ticket and the gate opened. Upon leaving, it says parking is $10 a day but I just hit the call button and they let me out. I guess it's free.
- misc items... Charged for Internet 2x and had it removed; elevators were a little slow; lots of construction on roads in the area; staff were nice.
Overall, this was a good value for the money. I'd stay here again, it's a decent hotel for business travel.
