The SilverKris Lounge in KUL is just a small depressing room with some flourescent lights and worn out chairs. In SIN you'll only get access to the inferior KF Gold lounge which isn't much to write about. Changi is a very nice airport to kill time without a lounge, at least that was my impression.
Yes that is so true. People become jaded and think that the best thing to do is go straight to a lounge. There are so many more options to spend time at an airport - especially at Changi. Check out the free wifi, free movies, lounge music, games, butterfly aviary, koi pond, cafes, local food outlets etc.
I don't want to hang around in a lounge and see people act posh.
