Of the last 3 Carlson properties I've been to, none has added the discount automatically. All have done so happily when I showed my Club Carlson card, and in one case the waitress even commented on how good a deal it made it. I've also been able to get the discount on a drink in the bar of a Radisson I wasn't staying in, simply by showing my Club Carlson card when asking for the bill then paying cash.
