For those looking for an opinion on which is best:

-If you are looking for a flagship phone, The Xperia Z is only $500 vs. $600 for the other flagships and is the only one that's water-resistant. While it has so-so professional reviews, user reviews on multiple sites love it.

-For phones on the cheaper end, the Nokia Lumia 521 has great reviews, although no flash or LTE (4G HSPA+) and is $99 off contract at Amazon, Best Buy, and others.

-If you want something between those two, for $199, you can find the LG Optimus F3, which is a solid entry level LTE Android. For $289, you can get the LG Optimus F6 which is more mid-range.
