Ever Been Thrown Out - Exceeding Maximum Room Occupancy with Children?

Here is the issue.

The hilton I want to stay at in Europe (Spain) doesn't have family rooms. But it does have a double room (max occupancy 2 adults) with two twin beds which is perfect for my family with two small children.

Normally in the US children stay free using existing bedding, but in European hotels they want you to buy an extra room.

They now have a great prepaid rate which I want to use.

What would you do? Take the risk?

If you've been caught doing this what did they make you do? Do they take these max occupancy things seriously?

Thx.
