1. Shall I be able to choose seats in my BA flight? If not, can I go to BA's site and select seat (like AS flights)? Will my AA PLT be honored in that case?

2. Shall I receive EQM and all other miles and PLT bonus on the BA leg?

3. Will there be a different BA PNR (like AS flights)?

4. Shall I be able to use BA self-service kiosks at ORD to print my boarding pass? Do BA kiosks recognize AA PLT card's magnetic stripe?

5. Anything else I need to know before purchasing the ticket from AA's site?
Yes.

Yes, assuming it's a mileage earning fare (some consolidator fares don't earn mileage). I believe all BA fares purchased on AA.com earn mileage.

Yes.

I'm not sure - I have used BA kiosks in the past with my passport but have never tried swiping my AA card.

You may want to see if the fare is any cheaper buying it on BA.com as a BA codeshare (happens occasionally due to fare classes). BA has a separate lounge from the AA AC in some airports (IAH and DFW both do at least). If you're flying BA LHR-ORD, I'm not sure if AA PLT alone qualifies you for T5 Fast Track Security, so you may want to get there a little early.
