I looked at the 5* hotels on Priceline's retail side. There were 16 for my random date, and the lowest rate was $436. While offers from PLEX can be from this group of hotels, they also can be completely different hotels. If "betterbidding etc." wasn't able to narrow it down you might just have to just take the plunge into the unknown.

But if you do proceed, I sincerely hope you report your results for future travelers.
