I highly support the DOT complaint. They need to know about these kinds of incidents so that they can build a case against AA for deceptive practices.

I looked at some of these "UP" fares' rules in the past and found absolutely no language indicating that it's a coach fare that's been upgraded. The only indication is the presence of "UP" in the fare class.
