I dug into the "detailed fare rules" -- there's no language whatsoever about this contingency. What there actually is is language describing First Class as being booking code F A and P, and the booking code for these flights being P.

There were no flights available in coach offered to me. I was automatically rebooked into Y on another flight. I inquired at the lounge and was told there were no F seats available period and I would receive a refund.

I find this very deceptive.
