If I do this, how will it impact my credit history? Will it be transparent to credit reporting agencies, or will it look like I started a brand new line of credit?
I asked around and they said it will report as the old history with same account open date. So no worries.

Becareful on CLIs though, if you ask for a CLI when you PC, they will hard pull you without telling you. Make sure you ask for the same limit and ask to make sure it's only a soft pull.

Of course if you don't mind the hard pull then it doesn't matter.
