The section of cbc news doing the reporting is Go Public. They are not the main investigative section of the news but rather the the whole team is charged with reporting consumer friendly news stories. Much like the days of Goldhawk fights back CTV segments from my childhood. These segments are always pro-average joe at the expense of the big corporate entity. David and Goliath stories where David always wins the debate because asking true investigative journalist questions would turn-off the viewers. IE chastizing the husband passenger for packing his keys in the suitcase would turn off the viewership. Same with not asking the obvious question like why did they not pay for seat assignment.
