It does matter. The website CanucksHKG posted specifies they need to be "eligible" flights marketed by the partner. In this case, that means operated by a oneworld carrier. For AM earning (and if you don't earn AM, you won't earn MPO miles either): https://www.asiamiles.com/am/en/earn...000ad21c39RCRD

You'll be out of luck earning anything from CX on these flights.
