Ah, but not just them. I want Hainan to be able to fly here as often as it wants to. And, of course, my favoured airline - TK, as well. In short, I want a liberalized market where consumers decide winners or losers. Like the US. Or the UK.
And no, I don't have an issue with the Canadian government consulting stakeholders; I do however have an issue with them placing the stakeholders on a pedestal and listening only to them, with nary a thought for the impact on consumers. Unlike, you know, the UK and the US.
Just to reiterate: let the Canadian consumer (who is more often than not a taxpayer as well) decide who the winners in Canada's skies are, instead of rigging the game.
