Unless you believe that the infrastructure under which the Gulf carriers operated somehow just appeared magically and is maintained by some other strange force it's ridiculous to argue that the issue has nothing to do with aviation, especially while you're complaining of Canadian government protectionism of AC.
But the solution is simple enough. Lets cancel all bilaterals with all countries that don't have good human rights records.
And then lets record the impact on AC's stock price.
Till then, however, we should avoid applying human rights selectively when it suits us, and ignoring it when it doesn't.
