I just had occasion to call the Diamond Desk for the first time in a long time (on a Sunday morning).
The woman who picked up my call seemed semi-literate (heavily accented, ungrammatical English-- to the point I had to really focus to understand what she was saying) and fairly indifferent--- not friendly, not hostile--- just completely disinterested is the best way I can describe it.
Would I have better experience if I called during the week?
In all seriousness, if the quality of the Diamond Desk is getting this low-- why bother? Why needlessly raise expectations among Hilton's best customers for quality service when the reality of the service approach is a couple of notches below what I receive at my local McDonald's?
