The Banff Springs Fairmont room is the same size as Chateau Lake Louise Fairmont room. The Jasper Park Lodge Fairmont room I heard from an employee friend is small and no air conditioning in the summer so it become unbearably hot.

I second Jasper to use upgrades during the stay to have a better experience at a few properties. Its worth it to get a nice room in Banff. Banff remains my favorite hotel, and the gold lounges nowadays carry a special flavour with me.. Partly because I'm so used to suites and lounges being a Hyatt Diamond member. With 2 kids, its a care free experience for our family.
