Can someone help me please? My corporate travel software automatically enters the FF number of the ticketed airline with each purchase. I have an upcoming long American flight. Trying to get this ticketed reservation switched to get AS Mileage Plan credit has been increadibly difficult. I can't find a place on AA.COM to do it. I've called AA twice and they couldn't figure out how to do it (after get transferred around and put on hold for 10 minutes the calls were dropped).

Is it that tough? Short of making the change at the gate, is there a way to do this in advance? Thank you.
