Nor would I consider it being good service when a flight attendant gets upset at me because I didn't have the time to look at the menu in advance prior meal service. I still remember his exact words when I asked him what were the meal choices. He said: "I new these menus were a waste of time. People don't even read them! (rolling his eyes and waving his hands).
Trust me, I could go on and on about my negative experiences with NWA. I have traveled the world since a very young age, with family and as a solo kid, and my worst in-flight service experiences were with NWA.
They did have a descent FF program. Often offering one free round trip ticket within Asia for every round trip to the US mainland.
And overall, I think it did them good to merge with Delta. Their service improved significantly after the merger.
As I have commented before, I think you get the service your attitude deserves. I flew 2MM BIS on NWA mostly TPAC and had consistently good service.
