Probably the past 5 targeted promos have passed me by. Have no idea what they see, or don't see, in me. It's weird. My travel can be greatly influenced by dangling shiny trinkets in front of me. I'm stupid that way. Right now I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to make a big play to go Plat again, or do the minimum and settle for *G. Maybe UA has decided it's not nice to play with Mike Jacoubowsky; poor guy did an out & back SFO-SIN with some creative routing to rack up a bunch of miles to get Plat last year, too stupid to realize that the cost of flying that and an SFO-LAX r/t to hit Plat were greater than the savings from a couple of award tix that would have otherwise had redeposit fees.
