Hertz at Austin Bergstrom

Maybe it's just a function of angry customers being more motivated to complain than impressed customers being willing to compliment but on Yelp I'm seeing several fairly scathing reviews of Hertz at AUS. Most complaints seem to revolve around long wait times, cars not being available / ready and Hertz trying to get extra revenue with paid add ons.
I'm Gold so I'm not overly concerned by the long wait times and I've enough experience to know that upsells can always be politely declined but I'm worried about car availability and having to wait for an LCAR which I've booked.
I'll be there the weekend of the F1 so I expect it will be unusually busy.
Does anyone have experience here? If so, it would be good to hear your thoughts.
My predicament is complicated by the fact that I have a very tight transit through DFW and could very easily miss my connection so could be late collecting the car.
