Just as a point of reference--because comp. levels are discussed earlier in this thread.
I checked in to a Springhill Suites in VA Beach last month. Went to my room, they were still cleaning it. I had minimal luggage. Just went back to the front desk to be assigned another room. EASY. They insisted on giving me 5k points for my trouble because I am a Platinum. I actually pushed back a bit then accepted them.
