I believe the wind thing was speculation on how they might have gotten into the situation.
If the plane was simply landing in the wrong attitude the Captain should have been monitoring.
As I recall the conversation the Captain took control very shortly before the nose gear hit, but too late to make an effective correction. It may also have been too late to pull up and go around.
How the plane got into that situation is the issue.
Should the Captain have been watching the FO closer? Should the Captain have taken control at the last second or possibly sooner?
Perhaps the Captain's action helped avert a worse outcome but should not have allowed the situation to develop in the first place.
These seem to me to be the questions regarding the incident, but I was really wondering whether the Captain had recourse now or whether that had already happened.
