I wished I read this earlier. Just completed a rental last week and Sixt gave me an Audi A6 wagon in the one of the worst conditions I've seen in a rental.
A lot of firsts for me and I've been doing company travel for 20 years. Two dozen dead bugs were still stuck to the front bumper, scratches and chips on on all four sides along with a damage on the hood large enough for you to put your thumb into and it also had 18,500 km on it.
I really don't see why people like Sixt so much.
Because, in Germany at least, when they get it right, they get it really right! ^
