I've been in the CC bonus game for a little while now, and I've almost exhaused all the personal card options, but I haven't yet gone into the business cards.
My primary goal is CUR points (most likely to transfer to United Miles). I'm currently working through the min spend req on CSP, which would round up enough united miles for 2 coach tickets to Europe for my honeymoon. Prior to this I also did the Chase Southwest Business and Personal to get the companion pass, which we're burning through this year and next.
However, I'm now aiming at the Ink Plus and Ink Bold cards, for both me and my fiancee. But, the caveat is neither of us have a business, or really anything that we can call close to a business. The Southwest Business card was kind of a one-off, and I've never done any other business card sign ups. When I talked to Chase about that application, I told them I buy and sell things on eBay, turning a profit of ~XXX/year (3 digits). I have since cancelled the Southwest Business card.
Given that I'm considering applying for the Ink Bold, Ink Plus (and maybe the United Business card), I would think that I need to show more of a "business" than a made up eBay business to even have a chance of getting approved, right?
Ink cards seem easier to get than the United Biz card (don't really know why though, but seems many are turned down for United but could get Ink without a problem). -perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why this is so.
Data: Wife dont have a true biz other than could "consult"
Wife just applied last month for Ink Bold and was pending--called in and answer a few questions and approved.
Wife also applied for United Biz card 2 months earlier but was denied--called to recon but still declined (after 3 calls she gave up-waited a month or so and applied for Ink and approved).
