I can't accurately comment on an aircraft I haven't flown, but on the subject of pure Y/C seat width, AC joins the 10 abreast club along with AA/AZ/EK/AF/NZ/BA and others. It would appear that increasingly, this is becoming 777 industry standard. AC/AA/EK/AF all share 17.0 seat width, AZ 16.5, NZ 17.1. As the worlds most popular widebody "twin", it might be hard to avoid all together.
While that may well be true, legroom is better on some of these. In the meantime, there are plenty of alternatives with wider seats. The layout of this plane, combined with the tango enhancements and gutting of the Altitude program for mid-tier elites, has already pushed several of us away from AC.
