yah, I was thinking the 10-20 (more like 20 in my case) years of loyalty would be a high price to pay for anything. Especially given I would rather fly Alaska anyway, even without loyalty programs or Seattle being a major hub.

I haven't been following flyertalk for long, but it sounds like Delta doesn't have a very good reputation with changes to it's frequent flyer program.
