Being the OP decided to not exit the airport, it's not applicable anymore to him/her. But for anyone considering doing this, be aware that it's not just a matter of paying the 700THB tax. It also requires issuing a new boarding pass. And so then you'd end up right back with the original problem that TG wouldn't allow you to check in the night before, I'm afraid. Unless they made some exception due to it just being reissuing the boarding pass. But most likely anyone trying that would be stuck paying the 700 THB tax, plus losing their deposit for the Louis Tavern room.

And I agree with what others have said. Absolutely no way I'd ever even consider paying to stay in the Louis Tavern rooms unless I didn't want to go landside. Terribly overpriced for what you get. I only have used them as a very last resort when I simply didn't have time to exit the airport, and was extremely tired and desperately needed the sleep.
