Keep that email handy and go to the business/first class check in counter of the airline you will be flying. They will then print you a boarding pass which does show your *G status.
I have done this so far for Lufthansa, ANA and Asiana with no problems.
Lufthansa at LHR didn't even ask me for proof when I explained the situation at the checkin counter.
