Caution: this response is dripping with well deserved sarcasm.

I can see you're also confused by the whole currency conversion thingy. I know, it's complicated - multiplication and division. Best to stick with addition and subtraction. Along with the date limitations the OP stated that he'd be in Paris and Sussex - that would fall under reading comprehension.

Let's go through Price123's calculations. He found 7 nights for 821.1GBP at the London Andaz. Did you know that comes to $1332.81 USD? My money's on no, you weren't able to figure that out.

Price123 also suggested Birmingham as a less expensive solution. Does anyone here ever pull up google maps before making suggestions? The OP stated that he'll be in Sussex (as in the county of Sussex; use the town of Crawley as a rough estimate of the distance). Reminds me of the person who suggested that hotels around Dulles are inexpensive on weekends when the guy specifically asked about the SF bay area.

Your 834 Euros net after BRG at HRCDG for mid Nov is irrelevant because the OP CLEARLY stated that he'd be in Sussex in Nov and Dec. But just for yucks, we'll use your number and tack on transportation to CDG. 834 Eur = $1129.32 USD. A flight from London to CDG is going to run at least $150USD, plus transportation from the county of Sussex to London.

If the OP balked at a tad more than $1300USD, do you really think that $50 less USD will make a difference?

I can't speak for the OP, but unless someone comes up with a solution in the $700 USD range, I think you're wasting your time. And do the math. All of the math. I could suggest 7 days at the Excalibur but that doesn't include travel costs, resort fees, and other miscellaneous costs.
