I just discovered that the Golden Gate Bridge has a toll when I went across it today and saw the signs. I'm using a Hertz rental and didn't pay beforehand or waive the pass, so I assume I'll get charged $25 for going across the bridge. I'll have to clarify that when I return the car.

Why the heck they wouldn't have a toll booth is beyond me. But the San Francisco traffic system in general sucks, so it doesn't really surprise me. I thought driving around here would be bearable but it has been a major headache. Never doing it again if I can help it.
