Reasons?
- pilot forgets
- pilot does not want to deal with filling out papers if something happens
- FA's are tired and ask the pilot so they can sit down and relax
- weather is actually bad (rarely)
- Stupidity. Can not explain that one.
Overall, when this happens, or they shut everything down 30 minutes before landing only pisses me off. Corporate types should monitor this closely.
