Cancelled my first ticket and ended up going YYZ-DEN-NRT, so I will try the 787 on that flight. Coming back on ANA to IAD and then back to YYZ.

For any interested, United has some decent prices on YYZ-NRT fares ...the whole ticket was under $1,000. I've avoided UA for transpac flights, so will see what I think of them...definitely going to get E+ for that flight.
