Everything hinged on you making that T5 to T5 60 minute connection.
I 100% agree with you! Just a 60 minute connection at LHR when such an important event as your son's birthday.....sorry
HighLife but what on earth were you thinking of????
LHR is one of the worlds most congested airports and therefore one of the most delay prone airports too. Particularly in the morning arrivals peak time and also this time of year when fog can be a problem. There are so many stories on here of delays into the LHR due to ATC congestion, landing on time but then waiting many minutes for a gate to be free, airbridge to be connected, overcrowded TTS, big delays through security at Flicht Connections.
This may sound harsh, but what were you thinking of with a 60 minute connection coming off a transatlantic with such an important non-missable event as your son's third birthday?
