I find the new domestic F seats very comfortable and there's no need for a leg rest. As for AVOD, for 5-hours it's pretty good, or else use inflight WiFi. AA's domestic F catering is also much better than UA or DL these days. And while there is upgrading, it is more limited on AA as non-ExecPlats must use an instrument thus limiting the number of upgrades on most routes, meaning there's always a good chance an upgraded ExecPlat will have an empty seat next to them. No it's not CX J or F calibre, but it certainly matches PE.
