I think it's reasonable to expect that you could get a few thousand points as a courtesy apology but I certainly wouldn't expect compensation even close to approaching the costs of missing a full day of diving.

The last time I bothered with a hotel wake-up call was 1998. They overlooked it, I woke up 2.5 hours late, and it put a crimp on my plans for the day. Shortly after that I got a cell phone and have essentially carried an alarm clock around in my pocket every day ever since.
