If you will be outside the transit area anyway, there is no need to stay at the expensive but very medicore Louis' Tavern transit hotel - there are many better and cheaper options outside the airport. There is the convenient but very expensive Novotel Suvarnabhumi but I have stayed at Thong Ta Resort Suvarnabhumi, which was very good valuable, airport transfer included (at a fraction of what the Louis' Tavern or Novotel would have charged for a room)
