Funny about this, is this happened to me at a Hampton Inn recently, and emailed the manager back stating that everything was fine. Mind you, my job is centered largely around educating and evaluating others, so I laugh when "slightly exceeding expectations" is viewed as negative feedback.

Every time I've mentioned to customer service that everything was fine, I was pleased, but in no way can I give a 10 (or best score) as nothing was extraordinary, nor did I expect it to be, nor can every stay even come close to extraordinary. It is wrong to score on such a ridiculous scale.
