Yes, the program only applies to the room occupied by the member and not everyone they know. That is all you should expect. NOW, in practice, many properties will extend benefits to all rooms booked by the member. If you ask nicely at check-in, there is a good chance the FDC will code all keys for club access (if they have one) and provide internet service. If you absolutely must have access for all rooms, book a club room and don't risk it on a FDC that is not feeling generous.
