Sounds like you know your stuff, possibly better than me. I assume you already know, but in case you haven't seen it, SW is having the 50k mile promotion again, and they've announced the mileage devaluation:

The website says the 50k bonus is good until 10/30/14. Since you were recently denied for having too many cards, do you think you can get both the SW personal & business in one round? Since you need to wait a full year between applications, you'll have to decide if you want to apply for both in late October or wait until next year.

Rhetorical ?) since you have nearly a million miles, what's the hurry? My mileage balance is a lot lower than yours, but I'm happy with it, because it fits my needs. I personally focus on the hotel points / free stays, because that's where a majority of our travel budget used to go.

Yes, you can transfer from between your personal UR accounts & your spouse's. I see no reason why you couldn't transfer to the Ink if it's in your name. If the Ink is for a business with a different EIN, then it may violate Chase's terms (I'm guessing here). I'm not exactly sure if the same restrictions exist for transferring UR from the business cards, and was about to search FT for the answer. I'll let you know if I find anything.

As far as hotel cards go, the Marriott & IHG both give a free night every year that is worth more than the annual fee. My wife I have have both cards with the same anniversary date, so we can get 2 nights free at each per year.
