Short version: My back hurts. Very badly. I blame it on BA. I deserve a trillion Avios in compensation. At the very least.

Boarded one of those dreaded E170s today. The design of these birds is appalling. The backrest is so short it barely reaches my head. There is nothing to rest the head against. On the E190s at least there is the option to slide down in the seat a bit, hence resting the head against the seat. On the E170s there is no space to slide, the seat pitch is like that of an Uzbek budget carrier. I don't know about Uzbek carriers, I probably do them grave injustice. I digress. So I rested my head against the fuselage and fell asleep. As the flight got into LCY I woke up with a stiff neck and back pain. Worst thing is, this is not the first time, and I'm pretty sure it won't be the last time.

These awful beasts are fit only to be used as a donation to FR. And no, the RJ100s or whatever BA used in the olden days doesn't make this design weakness any better....
