I thought I'd ask because the Mileageplus award search tool does allow one to choose these airports as destinations.
I've had success flying pretty far north (the middle of BC) on *A miles from Denver. As long as the destination is served by Air Canada you should be able to book the flights through United. It might take a phone call, though.
