BTW, Marriott's CS do understand that I have booked directly via Marriott.com but they still insist that LNF rate is not eligible for stay or point according to their terms and conditions (without indicating the specific clause). It's quite frustrated to communicate with them.
They're wrong. I would file an online missing points claim, and if they still refuse, quote them the info from their own website.
