The way I understand is that you as the Gold card holder gets the benefits and will be associated with your room only. However if you are a party then rooms would usually be together so if you were upgrades to SPG floor the second room usually gets the same benefit. Caveat some hotels will extend to both but best not to expect it and be happy if it happens.
