Thanks for the replies. I called UA and they told me to go to the Lufthansa site. I tried the Lufthansa site now that it's within 23 hours and it still didn't work. I called Lufthansa and they told me seats will be assigned at the airport. I fully expect to arrive at the airport and to be told by UA that they can't do it.
