RDM (redeemable miles) have nothing to do with EQM (elite qualifying miles). Two different things. Not related. I'd suggest doing some research in the FAQ on the basics of the AAdvantage program (as was already suggested in the thread on this promotion) as it will clear up a lot of questions like this and lead to less confusion.

Hey brp, a simple yes or no (and maybe some evidence to back up why someone should believe your answer) would do. The question wasn't about RDMs or EQMs or anything in between but simply what is the opinion of those, possibly more knowledgeable fliers, on the board as to whether one promo will impact another.
Not everything can fit within an existing thread and unless you can show me where this exact question (or one very close) has been asked and answered before and you can provide me the keywords to find such a post (as per the TOS when referring folks to search deeper), chill out.
